Somehow in Chicago, I ended up among Cuban sandwiches. We helped judge an informal competition between two friends. One competitor made their pork with coffee and the other made it with citrus. They even made their own bread. Surprisingly, the sandwich made with coffee was the winner (8 to 7). The other guy made his meat spicy; it was tasty but the heat didn’t work in the Cuban sandwich.
